With Israel and Gibraltar currently leading the world in terms of % of population who already received COVID19 vaccination, Gibrael Chamber had the honour to host an online Zoom event with Gibraltar’s Minister of Health- the Hon. Samantha Sacramento and two leading medical professionals who have been immensely involved in the COVID19 vaccination program:
Professor Lior Zangi – a leading Israeli Medical Professor currently working at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, who has been involved in the research & development of the Moderna COVID19 vaccine;
Dr Krishna Rawal – Deputy Medical Director at the Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA), overseeing the vaccine rollout in Gibraltar;
Professor Zangi and Dr Rawal spoke about the dilemmas, challenges and opportunities that the COVID19 vaccine presents, and answered questions from the audience about the vaccine rollout.
Anyone who has doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccinations, their importance in preventing future mutations and the science behind them- you should have listened to the compelling explanations these professionals gave.
No doubt we will see both Israel and Gibraltar emerging out from the COVID19 crisis faster and stronger as their Governments are quick to respond and their populations understand the importance in getting vaccinated.
Commenting on Prof. Zangi’s and Dr. Rawal’s words, Ayelet Mamo Shay- Gibrael’s Chairwoman said: “Anyone who has doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccinations, their importance in preventing future mutations and the science behind them- you should have listened to the compelling explanations these professionals gave!” Gibrael President, Eran Shay, added: ”No doubt we will see both Israel and Gibraltar emerging out from the COVID19 crisis faster and stronger as their Governments are quick to respond and their populations understand the importance of getting vaccinated”.
